The problem. In Clash Royale, the Royal Hogs were the ultimate benchwarmers. Nobody cared about them. Even a major update that turned them into airborne attackers couldn’t get players excited. The challenge was to rescue these pigs from total irrelevance and find a way for the global gaming community to finally give a hoot.
The Idea. In Iowa, the wonderful art of hog calling has been a proud tradition for decades. So we traveled to Meadowlark Farm to recruit Bill Yount, a three-time hog-calling champion. Together, we turned Clash Royale into the world’s biggest hog-calling contest. Nearly 300 000 people screamed into their phones for the ultimate prize: to become the permanent in-game sound of the Royal Hogs.
