The Brief. For the launch of Hero Balloon, a rework of the much-feared “Balloon” character in Clash Royale, we needed to highlight the instant panic the new card creates to get players excited.
The Idea. To dramatise its panic-inducing power, we created a campaign made entirely out of balloons. We twisted 10,486 biodegradable balloons into large-scale Clash Royale characters and watched them burst under the pressure of an advancing Hero Balloon (made, of course, out of balloons), all shot in camera and set to a cover of Nena’s famous “99 Luftballons”.
